2 Fat-Burning Smoothies

1. Mixed berry fat loss smoothie

What’s in it?

25g whey protein
3/4 cup raspberries
3/4 cup blueberries
1/2 cup blackberries
Water for required consistency

Why it works.

Whey protein: This contains all the essential amino acids required to increase lean muscle mass.
Raspberries: Your body needs the vitamin C to produce muscle-building hormones and absorb iron.
Blueberries: Blueberries contain the high potent antioxidants anthocyanin which helps banish belly fat and catechins which activate fat-burning genes in abdominal fat cells to assist with belly fat loss.
Blackberries: Flavonoids called anthocyanins, present in blackberries, will help your muscles to repair and grow.

2. Fat-busting blueberry banana

What’s in it?

1/2 cup blueberries
1tsp flaxseeds
1/2 a banana
1tsp honey
3tbsp low-fat yogurt
2-3tbsp oats
1/4 cup of soy milk
Water for required consistency

Why it works.

Blueberries: Blueberries are low in calories and contains lots of antioxidants such vitamin C and E.
Flaxseeds: These seeds are rich in linoleic acid, which helps reduce body fat.
Banana: Your body needs the vitamin C to produce muscle-building hormones and absorb iron.
Honey: Honey is a natural energy food that boots your immune system.
Yogurt: The calcium in yogurt speeds up your metabolism and enhances fat loss.
Oats: Oats are high in slow-digesting complex carbs, which keeps you feeling full longer.
